Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a powerful therapeutic approach that enables a person to tune in to their thought processes and determine how these thoughts are affecting their behaviors, emotions, and interactions with others. Often times, our thoughts can be filled with anxiety, self-doubt, and irrational beliefs about ourselves or those around us. I utilize CBT to help clients challenge certain thought processes and shift to healthier mindsets. It can be easy to get trapped in the same thought processes and start to ruminate over our current challenges or fears. The good thing is that we have neuroplasticity-meaning the brain is moldable and changeable. This change takes time and intentionality, but it is such rewarding work! CBT is a goal oriented, hands on approach where you will learn transferable skills that can be implemented in all areas of your life. My goal is for you to take these skills and use them on your own as your time progresses in therapy and you continue to work towards your goals.
