About Me
Dana McCray
Licensed Professional Counselor
Are you eager to start taking better care of yourself in order to enjoy a more fulfilled life? I have a passion for helping people heal hurts, grow through challenges, and experience life in a healthier and more satisfying way. I truly enjoy aiding clients in finding hope in otherwise bleak circumstances. If you choose to work with me, you would receive counseling through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which enables you to create goals for yourself towards healthier thought processes, behaviors, and relationships. If you have been considering counseling but have been held back by fear, call me today to discover if we would be a good fit.
Because of my experiences, I am able to connect with clients quickly on a personal level to aid them in feeling safe and understood. I truly enjoy creating an environment that is catered towards each person's individual needs and preferences to ensure a judgement free and beneficial experience.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University, a CACREP accredited school. I completed my clinical training at a crisis respite center and a group practice setting. I work to maintain ethical standards, keep up with new techniques and laws in the counseling field, and utilize resources to continue learning. I attend trainings conducted by certified professionals in my field to continue honing in on my specialties and interests. I have extensive experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in different capacities such as respite programs, health clinics, and counseling centers. That being said, I am equipped to work with clients from all different backgrounds and severity of issues.
